101 Deputy Edward O’Keeffe asked the Minister for Health and Children the position regarding a request to the Health Service Executive to provide financial assistance to a person (details supplied) in County Cork towards surgery performed abroad. [5384/09]
Amharc ar fhreagraOperational responsibility for the management and delivery of health and personal social services, including the treatment of patients under the Treatment Abroad scheme, is a matter for the Health Service Executive. Therefore, the Executive is the appropriate body to consider the particular case raised by the Deputy. My Department has requested the Parliamentary Affairs Division of the Executive to arrange to have a reply issued directly to the Deputy.
