496 Deputy Kathleen Lynch asked the Minister for Education and Science when he will make a capital allocation available for the building of a new school (details supplied) in County Cork; when the school authorities, including the board of management and principal will be informed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe project to which the Deputy refers involves the acquisition of additional land. The progression of the project, from site acquisition and initial design stage through to construction phase will be considered in the context of my Department's multiannual School Building and Modernisation Programme. However, in light of current competing demands on the capital budget of the Department, it is not possible to give an indicative timeframe for the further progression of the project at this time.
