441 Deputy Jan O’Sullivan asked the Minister for Education and Science if the technical assessment has been carried out in relation to a site for a school (details supplied) in County Limerick; if a suitable site has been agreed; when he expects to sanction the project to commence; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraMy officials recently conducted a technical assessment of a site identified for the school referred to by the Deputy and a report is currently being prepared. When a suitable site has been secured the further progression of this project will be considered in the context of the Department's School Building and Modernisation Programme. However, in light of current competing demands on the capital budget of the Department, it is not possible to give an indicative timeframe for the progression of the project at this time.
