679 Deputy Ciarán Cuffe asked the Minister for Education and Science the status of the public procurement and tendering position in relation to the vocational education committee proposal for Blackrock Town Hall and the related civic buildings in County Dublin; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraI announced in February last that the building project for the school in question was to proceed to tender and, subject to the necessary technical and financial sanction, to commence construction.
The revised tender documents for this project were recently received and are currently being examined by officials from my Department. My Department will be in contact with the VEC shortly in this regard.
