Ceist:235 Deputy Seán Ó Fearghaíl asked the Minister for Transport if it is his policy to provide funding to local authorities in the greater Dublin area, via the Dublin Transportation Office, for traffic management and road design purposes in circumstances in which such local authorities engage external consultants; if it is the case that similar funding is not forthcoming in situations in which the required planning and design work is carried out by the local authority’s staff; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
