447 Deputy David Stanton asked the Minister for Defence if Defence Force personnel will be able to participate in the recently announced cycle to work scheme; if so, the measurers taken by his Department to enable personnel to avail of the scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The cycle to work scheme is being made available to Permanent Defence Force personnel. My Department officials, in consultation with the Military authorities, are finalising the detailed arrangements to implement the scheme in the Permanent Defence Force.
