244 Deputy Joan Burton asked the Minister for Health and Children if her Department is taking part in the cycle to work scheme or plans to do so in the near future; the agencies and bodies under the aegis of her Department taking part in the cycle to work scheme and those which are not; and the impact the implementation of decentralisation will have on participation in the scheme. My Department is taking part in the cycle to work scheme and a number of staff have already availed of the scheme. Decentralisation will have no impact on participation in the scheme as my Department is not scheduled to decentralise. The implementation of the scheme by agencies and bodies under the aegis of my Department is an operational matter for the bodies in question.
