389 Deputy Mary Upton asked the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism the number of staff employed or the percentage of departmental time allocated directly on the national sports facilities strategy; the number employed or the percentage of Departmental time allocated directly on the sports capital programme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe Sports Policy Unit of my Department has responsibility for a number of areas of work including the National Sports Facilities Strategy. Two members of staff in this unit are employed on the National Sports Facilities Strategy. However these staff also have other areas of responsibility within the sports policy area. In the Sports Capital Unit, a number of the staff complement also have other areas of responsibility within the sports area of my Department and some avail of family friendly work arrangements. Accordingly, the whole time equivalent figure for staff engaged in Sports Capital Programme work is almost 14, processing allocations already made under previous rounds of the Sports Capital Programme.
