114 Deputy Enda Kenny asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the reason for a deportation order against a person (details supplied) in Dublin 16; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [42407/09]
Amharc ar fhreagraI wish to inform the Deputy that no deportation order has been made in respect of the person in question. In fact, the person to whom he refers was recently granted permission to remain in the State, under Stamp 4 conditions, until 9 November, 2010, following representations received under section 3 of the Immigration Act, 1999. By way of background, I should add that a proposal to deport letter issued to the person concerned on 18 August, 2009 after it came to light that she had not registered with the Garda National Immigration Bureau during her time in the State.
