70 Deputy Brian O’Shea asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government the amount allocated in capital grants to each local authority in respect of social housing; his views on whether spending will reach the targets set; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Taking account of the spend to date, claims currently being processed and further claims expected, I am confident that the overall capital allocation for housing in 2009 will be fully utilised.
