521 Deputy Tom Hayes asked the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food the cost of translating all State documents into Irish; the cost of printing same; if a proposal for storing these electronically and printing as required has been investigated; and if he will make a statement on the matter. It is the policy of my Department that most documents which require to be translated into Irish are published electronically rather than in hard copy.

The following is the information relating to the cost involved in the translation into Irish and the printing of those documents:
