Amharc ar fhreagraSection 5 of the Electoral Act 1997 (as amended by section 9 of the Electoral (Amendment) Act 2009), provides for the establishment of a Constituency Commission upon the publication by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) of a census report setting out the preliminary result of the Census in respect of the total population of the State. Section 9 of the Electoral Act 1997 (as amended by section 9 of the Electoral (Amendment) Act 2009) provides that the work of a Commission be finalised as soon as may be and not later than 3 months after publication by the CSO of the final result of the Census in respect of the total population of the State.
