96 Deputy John Deasy asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the number of applications in Dungarvan, County Waterford, received under the work placement programme; the number approved; and if she will make a statement on the matter [46887/09]
Amharc ar fhreagraTo date, 43 clients have applied for vacancies advertised under the Work Placement Programme in Waterford City and 24 clients for vacancies in Dungarvan. These individuals have been screened for eligibility by FÁS and suitable candidates' details forwarded to employers. Out of the 67 applicants, 3 have been approved and have started positions with companies under the programme. Currently, there are 13 vacancies available to be filled under WPP scheme in Waterford City and 11 vacancies in Dungarvan.
