498 Deputy Martin Ferris asked the Minister for Transport if his attention has been drawn to the High Court judgments of 1978 (details supplied); his views on their relevance to the issue of taxi deregulation; and if he will arrange to have a copy of the judgment made available. [48430/09]
Amharc ar fhreagraI am aware of High Court and Supreme Court judgments relating to the cases in question and I will arrange to have a copy of the judgments provided to the Deputy. There are many factors relevant to the issue of taxi "deregulation" and regulation. These include primary and secondary legislation, judgments of the superior courts over many years, including these judgments, and any other relevant legal opinion.
