616 Deputy John Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food the process that will be carried out and the options available to a person (details supplied) in County Sligo, regarding the thinning or cutting of a forest owned by them; the way this asset can be best availed of; and if he will make a statement on the matter. He should contact Teagasc Forestry Development Unit for a list of Forestry Advisors and contact numbers at Mellows Centre, Athenry, Co. Galway, phone number 091 845200. Alternatively he could contact Forest Service, Johnstown Castle Estate, Wexford at 1890 200 223 for a list of registered private foresters.
