219 Deputy Tom Hayes asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government the works that will be covered by remedial funding in 2010 for the refurbishment of a housing estate (details supplied) in County Tipperary; the works that are planned for that estate for the future; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department has recently granted approval for this project and the Council may now proceed to advanced planning and tender stage. A provisional allocation of €1.5m for 2010 has been advised to the local authority to assist in undertaking remedial works at this location. The overall proposal includes the refurbishment of tenanted dwellings, the demolition of a number of existing units, the provision of a small number of new units, a new access road and site works.
