Ceist:274 Deputy Joe Costello asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of persons who have joined the Garda Reserve in each year since its establishment; the number recruited in Dublin; the duties in which they are engaged; the cost to the Exchequer of the Garda Reserve; the number of former members of the Garda Reserve who have subsequently applied to join An Garda Síochána; the number which have been successful; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
