231 Deputy Jim O’Keeffe asked the Minister for Health and Children the amount of expenditure incurred in the period 1 January 2009 to 31 December 2009, by her Department and also offices, agencies and any other bodies falling within her remit, on the lease, rental or purchase of car parking spaces for use by civil and public servants; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The issue of expenditure on the lease, rental or purchase of car parking spaces is a matter for the Office of Public Works (OPW) and I have asked the OPW to reply directly to the Deputy in this regard. The position regarding the Health Service Executive and the other agencies is a matter for the agencies themselves. My Department is requesting them to reply directly to the Deputy.
