238 Deputy Ulick Burke asked the Minister for Health and Children if she is satisfied herself that the appropriate number of consultants have been appointed to the various specialties at Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe, County Galway; when additional consultants will be appointed; and if she will make a statement on the matter. As this is a service matter, it has been referred to the HSE for direct reply. Due to industrial action in the public service by members of IMPACT, the HSE may not be in a position to provide a response within the normal timeframe.
