Ceist:399 Deputy Paul Connaughton asked the Minister for Health and Children if her attention has been drawn to the fact that there are a number of advanced paramedics here who are suitably qualified; in view of the estimated cost €100,000 to train each paramedic to the advanced paramedic standard if she will outline the number of advanced paramedics that are likely to be needed over the next few years; if the existing cohort of such advanced paramedics are sufficient for the proposed service in the future; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
