165 Deputy Lucinda Creighton asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of parliamentary questions that have remained unanswered due to staff action to date in 2010; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17262/10]

I presume the Deputy is referring to Parliamentary Questions which, due to the recent industrial action, were responded to by way of an interim reply. I can inform the Deputy that to date in 2010, a total of 1,842 Parliamentary Questions have been answered by me. Approximately 370 of these require further information to be compiled, which my Department is in the process of doing.
