100 Deputy Brian O’Shea asked the Minister for Health and Children if she will address the needs of former miners who have chronic health problems as a result of mining; if they can be treated as special cases; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [20204/10]
Amharc ar fhreagraMy colleagues in the Department of Social Protection and the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources and I agreed to a request on behalf of former coal miners that our officials would meet with them on the 5th May 2010 to listen to their concerns. Following on from that meeting my officials will report back to me and I will consider the issues raised.
