306 Deputy Enda Kenny asked the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources the number of employees and officer holders in all forms of State agencies under the aegis of his Department with remuneration packages comparable or higher than €100,000 per annum; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe number of State Agencies under the aegis of my Department is 25. Of these, 8 bodies have a commercial remit. Apart from the remuneration of Chief Executive Officers which is agreed by me and the Minister for Finance within limits sets by the Minister for Finance, it is a matter for the commercial State Agencies concerned to regulate pay. I can inform the Deputy that, of the remaining 17 non-commercial bodies under the aegis of my Department, 44 employees and office holders hold remuneration packages comparable to or higher than €100,000.
