274 Deputy David Stanton asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Education and Skills in view of a recent planning application made by her Department to build two new primary schools in Ballinacurra, Midleton, County Cork, her plans, if any, for the patronage of these schools; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department is aware of the need for additional school accommodation in the general Midleton area. With this in mind my Department is engaged in the process of acquiring a site considered suitable subject to contract. The future Patronage of any schools constructed on this property will be in the context of future educational demand in the area.
