1162 Deputy Bobby Aylward asked the Minister for Justice and Law Reform when a claim under the Criminal Injuries Compensation Tribunal will be processed and finalised in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny. [33451/10]
Amharc ar fhreagraI wish to inform the Deputy that under the terms of the Scheme of Compensation for Personal Injuries Criminally Inflicted, the Criminal Injuries Compensation Tribunal is entirely independent in the matter of individual applications to the Tribunal. However in order to be of assistance in this matter, I have had enquiries made with the Tribunal in relation to the application referred to by the Deputy. I understand that this application is the subject of an appeal by the Applicant and that her legal representatives will be shortly be offered a hearing date for the appeal.
