1482 Deputy Brian Hayes asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if he could set out in respect of each local authority in the country the percentage of their current expenditure that relates to staff pay and pensions as a percentage of the total budget in their respective areas; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraI understand that the Question refers to the pay and pensions of local authority staff and have, therefore, excluded the VEC pensions paid by local authorities on behalf of the Department of Education and Science. The latest period for which audited information is available is 2008.
