226 Deputy Brendan Howlin asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Education and Skills further to Parliamentary Question No. 415 of 27 April 2010, if the draft contract for unqualified or incompletely qualified teachers has been sent to the staff side or when it will be sent; and if she will make a statement on the matter. A draft contract of indefinite duration and draft fixed term contracts for unqualified individuals employed in teaching posts were recently sent to the Staff side for their views.

When the consultation process is completed, it is intended to issue the final contract for use by schools and VECs.
