56 Deputy Leo Varadkar asked the Minister for Health and Children if a decision has been made on the location of the new central mental hospital; when this decision will be made; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [34771/10]
Amharc ar fhreagraNo decision has as yet been made in relation to the location of the new Central Mental Hospital (CMH); however an alternative site has been identified and preliminary discussions have taken place between the HSE and the planning authorities. The development of the new CMH remains a priority for the Government and the HSE has been asked to submit a business case for the project and to explore alternative funding options to deliver the new hospital.
