72 Deputy Arthur Morgan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Education and Skills the difference there shall be in terms of status, financial resourcing and so on between the current institutes of technology and the proposed technological universities; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe terms of reference for the High Level Group which was established to develop proposals for a new national strategy for higher education provided for an extensive examination of all issues relating to the future development of the higher education sector. The Group engaged in an extensive consultation process and a wide range of proposals and suggestions relating to the governance, management, resourcing and configuration of the sector were considered. The Group has now completed its work and I will be consulting with my Government colleagues in relation to its report in the coming weeks. The timeframe for publication of the report will be decided in that context.
