156 Deputy Brendan Howlin asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Education and Skills if she has received an application for funding in respect of a school (details supplied) in County Wexford; if this application can be expedited in the interests of safety and comfort for pupils and staff; and if she will make a statement on the matter. An application for funding under Emergency Works was submitted by the school in question. However, following an assessment of the application and in light of the nature and scale of the works involved it is not possible to provide funding at this time. It is open to the school authority to submit an application for these works under the next round of the Summer Works Scheme.
