228 Deputy Brendan Howlin asked the Minister for Social Protection the position regarding an application to Pobal under the Community Service Programme in respect of an organisation (details supplied); if and when funding will be provided to enable the vital work of this organisation to continue; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe organisation referred to by the Deputy was approved for funding from the Community Services Programme and is currently being funded under the Community Services Programme. Their contract will expire at the end of December 2010 in line with all contracts under that Programme. I am currently considering proposals to extend the contracts for organisations providing services under the Community Services Programme. This organisation is included in that process. I hope to be in a position to inform the organisation of the outcome of this process in the coming weeks.
