194 Deputy Lucinda Creighton asked the Minister for Justice and Law Reform the number of persons prosecuted under the Criminal Law (Human Trafficking) Act 2008; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [43371/10]
Amharc ar fhreagraI am informed by the Garda Síochána that since the commencement in June 2008 of the Criminal Law (Human Trafficking) Act, 2008 proceedings have been commenced against four persons in respect of nineteen offences contrary to the provisions of that Act. As all four persons remain before the Courts, it would be inappropriate for me to comment further.
