219 Deputy Denis Naughten asked the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food the number of persons in County Roscommon approved under the agri-environmental options scheme; the number refused; the number awaiting a decision; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [43081/10]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe number of Agri-Environment Options Scheme Applications received for County Roscommon is 458. Of these 348 applications have been approved and processing of the remaining 110 applications is ongoing. I expect the administrative and validation process to be completed and all outstanding cases to be notified of the outcome of their application before the end of November, with successful applicants receiving a start date of 1st November, 2010.
