81 Deputy Jack Wall asked the Minister for Justice and Law Reform the functions of the Prisons Authority Interim Board; the structure of governance under which it operates and his proposals for its future; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [43021/10]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Prison Authority Interim Board was established by the then Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform on 26 April 1999. The Board meets approximately six times per year and provides advice and guidance in the management of the prison system to the Director General of the Irish Prison Service.
