128 Deputy John Browne asked the Minister for Finance if he will arrange to have the Revenue Commissioners put on hold a demand for a VAT payment for a person (details supplied) in County Wexford as they are no longer in employment and are receiving unemployment assistance. [43334/10]
Amharc ar fhreagraThis is a matter for the Revenue Commissioners. However, I am advised that because of the failure of the person concerned to file tax returns and make payments due, or to engage in any way with Revenue, they were obliged to start enforcement proceedings. Revenue will again attempt to engage with this person with a view to bring matters to an agreed resolution.
