292 Deputy Liz McManus asked the Minister for Finance his plans to appoint a chief information officer; the reasons for the delay in making this appointment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [44988/10]
Amharc ar fhreagraAs I advised the House on 21 October 2010, the Government has approved the appointment of a Chief Information Officer. Work has been underway in my Department to give effect to this decision. This work includes consultations with other Departments on the precise terms of the job description. Once this has been completed the actual recruitment process will commence.
