355 Deputy Joe McHugh asked the Minister for Health and Children the date for the publication of the National Board for Safeguarding Children in the Catholic Church’s audit of the Catholic diocese of Raphoe; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [48316/10]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe National Board for Safeguarding Children in the Catholic Church is a Church Organisation which has no connection with or reporting function to my Office. The Health Service Executive, which has statutory responsibility for child welfare and protection matters has been conducting a national audit of all Catholic dioceses and Religious Orders. The HSE expects to be in a position to furnish a report to me in February/March on the first element of this audit, as it relates to all dioceses.
