325 Deputy Brendan Griffin asked the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food when he expects the Bord Iascaigh Mhara study on seal population to be completed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7408/11]
Amharc ar fhreagraResponsibility for seals rests with the National Parks and Wildlife Service which will be under the remit of the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht. I understand that BIM have already held discussions with the National Parks and Wildlife Service and the results of the BIM study will be made available to the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht. BIM advise that the study will be completed towards the end of the year.
