81 Deputy Thomas P. Broughan asked the Minister for Finance if he will indicate the timeframe for the preparation and publication of the jobs budget; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7910/11]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe Government is very strongly committed to a jobs and growth strategy. We are also fully committed to bringing forward as a matter of priority a Jobs Initiative to put this strategy into effect, as set out in the Programme for Government. While a specific date for the publication of such an Initiative has yet to be finalised, I would envisage that it will be some time in May. I can assure the House that this issue is a key priority for this Government and work is advancing on bringing the necessary policy measures forward.
