447 Deputy Thomas Pringle asked the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food the arrangements in place for the provision of vehicles for the fishery officers of the Sea-Fisheries Protection Authority; the frequency with which new vehicles are supplied; the cost of these measures; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Sea-Fisheries Protection Authority is an independent statutory body; hence, arrangements in place for the provision and supply of vehicles for fisheries officers is a matter for the Authority. The Department has forwarded the request to the SFPA for its consideration and for a direct reply to the Deputy.
