459 Deputy Anthony Lawlor asked the Minister for Health and Children the reasons the Health Service Executive dental service at Derrinturn Health Centre is scheduled to close on 18 May 2011, bearing in mind the fact that dental equipment is already in place in the centre and the inconvenience the cessation of this service will cause to the large catchment area in County Kildare which it currently serves; and if he will make a statement on the matter. 529 Deputy Emmet Stagg asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will instruct the Health Service Executive not to cease the dental service for children at Derrinturn Health Centre, County Kildare, on 18 May 2011, in view of the fact that the alternative arrangement to provide the service at health centres in Naas or Newbridge is impractical as there is no public transport available from Derrinturn to these areas.
