163 Deputy John McGuinness asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government the level of funding required by Kilkenny County Council to enable them to carry out works to local authority houses in which tenants have special needs; when a decision will be made; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department allocated €317,377 to Kilkenny County Council on 23 May, 2011 to enable them to meet their expenditure in 2011 in respect of Improvement Works in Lieu/Extensions and Disabled Person's Grants. It is a matter for the County Council to decide which works should be carried out under these headings subject to full compliance with my Department's scheme conditions.
