419 Deputy John McGuinness asked the Minister for Health if an angiogram will be arranged as a matter of urgency in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; if there is a reason for the delay in responding; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19659/11]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe scheduling of patients for hospital treatment is a matter for the consultant concerned in each case and is determined on the basis of clinical need. Should the patient's general practitioner consider that the patient's condition warrants an earlier appointment, he/she would be in the best position to take the matter up with the consultant involved. As this is a service matter, it has been referred to the HSE for direct reply.
