164 Deputy Brendan Griffin asked the Minister for Education and Skills if an Inspector will be provided to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry who has applied for the national internship scheme at a national school in County Kerry to complete their diploma in teaching; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThe "JobBridge" National Internship Scheme was announced as part of the Government's Jobs Initiative and was launched in June this year. it will provide work experience placements for interns for a 6 or 9 month period.
In consultation with school management bodies and unions, my Department is currently considering the possible extension of this initiative to schools.
