90 Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for Finance the current status of the National Recovery Plan 2011-2014 prepared by the previous Government; and if it can be regarded as his policy in view of the fact that the link to it appears on the homepage of his Department’s website. [25529/11]
Amharc ar fhreagraAs the Deputy is aware, the National Recovery Plan was published at the end of November of last year. It set out the previous Government's plan for a return to sustainable economic growth and the restoration of order to the public finances. It also formed the basis of the previous Government's negotiations with the EU/IMF/ECB Troika. The National Recovery Plan 2011-2014 is not a policy document of the current Government. Indeed, since coming to office, the current Government has successfully renegotiated a number of aspects of the Programme of Financial Support, including securing very significant reductions in our Programme borrowing costs. As the Deputy is also aware, my Department's website contains information on a numerous range of matters that relate to the work of the previous Government, including, for instance, the Budget documents going back for the last ten years. This is simply helpful for members of the public who wish to obtain access to documents of interest.
