385 Deputy Charlie McConalogue asked the Minister for Justice and Equality the total number of gardaí employed in the Garda Síochána for each year of the past 15 years; the number of Garda stations providing a service in the country in each of the same years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am informed by the Garda authorities that the personnel strength of An Garda Síochána as at 31 December 1997 — 31 December 2010 and 31 August 2011 was as set out in the following table:
