Amharc ar fhreagraAn application for a certificate of naturalisation from the individual referred to in the Deputy's Question was received in the Citizenship Section of my Department in August 2005 and my predecessor decided in his absolute discretion to refuse the application. The person concerned was informed of that decision in a letter issued, via her solicitor, on 31 March 2009. The person concerned has taken judicial review proceedings and, as the matter is sub judice, it would not be appropriate for me to comment further on the specific case.
