72 Deputy Dara Murphy asked the Minister for Education and Skills if the minor capital works grant is still in operation; if a school (details supplied) in County Cork will be in receipt of the payment; if the scheme is not currently in operation, if the scheme will be brought back at a later date or his plans for a replacement scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Schools have been informed that they are not to enter into commitments in expectation of the issuing of the primary school minor works grant in the current school year (2011/12). The decision regarding the payment of the grant is likely to be taken in the near future.
