105 Deputy Thomas Pringle asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform when the Property Registration Authority will be brought under the Freedom of Information Act; if the legislation to do this had been prepared for the Land Registry to be taken under the Act; the reason that this had not been implemented; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department is carrying out preparatory work to implement the commitments in the programme for Government. When this work is complete I will bring proposals to Government in relation to the Freedom of Information Acts. These proposals will include the proposed extension of the provisions of the Freedom of Information Acts to the Property Registration Authority.
