55 Deputy Sandra McLellan asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government the reason there is no legislation to cover housing transfers from one local authority to another; his plans to amend the current legislation to address this; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraThere is no specific housing legislation in relation to households that wish to transfer from housing provided by one housing authority to that of another authority. I am aware that some authorities facilitate mutual transfers on an informal basis. I am not aware of particular issues arising in this area but I will keep the matter under review in the context of future housing legislation.
